Types of Government
Definition:
government - a group, organisation or body of people that sets public policies and administers them. The different types of governments are as follows:
| Type | Explanation |
| anarchy | no or absence of (an) someone ruling (arch) |
| monarchy | a country ruled by (arch) one (mono) person - king, queen, emperor |
| democracy | a country ruled by people (demo) |
| capitalism | a free market country, people can own properties, land and businesses |
| communism | a system where all properties, land and natural resources are owned in community |
| dictatorship | a country ruled by one person who has absolute / total power |
| republic | a country in which the law is made by, and the government run by those elected by the people. |
| totalitarian | a country governed by only one person or one political party |
Kerajaan (Jenis-jenis)
Takrif:
kerajaan - badan, organisasi atau kumpulan orang yang membentuk polisi-polisi untuk memerintah sesebuah negara serta mentakbirkannya. Contoh-contoh kerajaan adalah seperti berikut:
| anarki | negara tanpa pemerintah |
| pemerintahan beraja mutlak | negara yang diperintah oleh hanya seorang raja, ratu, maharaja |
| demokrasi | negara yang diperintah oleh rakyat |
| kapitalisme | negara pasaran bebas, rakyat boleh memiliki harta benda, tanah dan perniagaan |
| komunisme | sistem di mana semua harta benda, tanah dan perniagaan adalah hak milik komuniti |
| pemerintahan diktator | negara yang diperintah oleh seorang raja / maharaja / pemerintah yang mempunyai kuasa mutlak |
| republik | negara yang undang-undangnya dibentuk dan ditadbirkan oleh rakyat |
| totalitarian | negara yang dikuasai oleh seorang atau sebuah parti politik sahaja |
