Ella
Ella is regarded by some as the "Beauty that Rocks the World". She is
known as Ratu Rock which is the Malay
language for the "Queen of Rock". She was listed in the Malaysia
Book of Records for the first female artist to have a highest best
selling SOLO album (ELLA USA). Ella was chosen to sing the inspiring
song "Standing in the Eyes of the World" for the 1998 Kuala Lumpur
Commonwealth Games. Composed by Wah Idris and David Gates, the song
still strikes a chord among many Malaysians. Part of the lyrics goes
like this:
When the time comes and your spirit takes flight and you reach into
your soul and live it with all of your might
And there's no surprise that you're "Standing In The Eyes Of The World".
