HIV
It is the acronym for Human
Immunodeficiency Virus. It
causes the disease AIDS (acronym for Acquired Immune Deficiency
Syndrome). The virus
was transmitted to chimpanzees to humans in a location reported to be a
remote corner of the country of Cameroon in Central Africa. The virus / disease then migrated to Kinshasa, the
capital of DR Congo.
