Types of Government
A democracy is system of government in which the power rests on the
citizens ("demo" is Greek for people). The people are
represented by elected representatives. In the Malaysia, the elected
representative become Members of Parliament (MPs) and/or State
Assemblymen. The elected Members of Parliament convene in parliament
periodically to formulate laws applicable to the country as a whole.
A Constitutional Monarchy is a government that has a King and a
constitution. In the case of Malaysia, the King is known as the Yang
di-Pertuan Agong.
In
line with the Parliamentary Democracy it practices, the governing
powers of Malaysia are divided into
o Executive
o Judicial
o Legislative
authorities.

Paduka Baginda Yang
di-Pertuan Agong sebagai Ketua Negara.

Demokrasi
merupakan sistem kerajaan yang kuasanya terletak pada tangan rakyat
("demo" bermaksud "orang"/"rakyat"
dalam bahasa Yunani). Di Malaysia, rakyat diwakili di Parlimen oleh
Ahli Parlimen dan/atau Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri. Ahli-ahli Parlimen
bersidang secara berkala untuk membuat undang-undang yang boleh
dikuatkuasakan di seluruh negara.
Sehubungan
dengan amalan Demokrasi Berparlimen, kuasa tadbir urus dibahagikan
kepada tiga bahagian iaitu:
o Kuasa
Eksekutif
o Kuasa
Kehakiman
o Kuasa
Perundangan.
