The basic or fundamental unit of a
living thing (organism) is the cell. Cells are made up of particles, by
themselves these particles are not living. However, when the particles
are organised into a cell, the cell can function on its own.

categorised as plant
cells and
animal
cells.
Sel
Unit asas benda hidup atau
organisma ialah sel. Sel terdiri daripada zarah-zarah, yang secara
bersendirian, tidak hidup. Akan tetapi, apabila zarah-zarah
diorganisasikan menjadi sel, sel itu berfungsi sebagai benda hidup.
