Induction
cooking uses the concept of electromagnetic induction. When an
alternating current (a.c.) flows through the coil (or coils) of
conductor that has/have been installed below the ceramic surface
of an induction cook top, an electromagnetic field is induced. The
word "induced" gives the cooker or cook top its name.
The electromagnetic field induced by the coil(s) causes current
(eddy currents) to flow inside the material of the cooking pot /
pan (usually iron). When current flows in the conducting material
of the cooking pot / pan, it produces heat energy.
The heat energy
then cooks the food.

melalui aruhan menggunakan konsep aruhan elektromagnet.
Apabila arus ulangalik (a.u.) mengalir melalui gegelung
dawai (yang dipasang di bawah lapisan seramik pemasak
aruhan), medan elektromagnetic akan diaruhkan.
Medan elektromagnet yang diaruhkan ini menyebabkan arus
(arus eddy) mengalir dalam bahan periuk atau kuali
(lazimnya besi). Apabila arus mengalir dalam bahan
konduktor periuk / kuali, ia menghasilkan tenaga
haba.
